Melissa Cory is the Director of Communications and Executive and Professional Education at Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business where she leads the Center’s strategy marketing, programs, and operations. She creates and produces innovative leadership and professional programs, initiates community conversations around important issues, develops engaging teams, and drives business growth through strategic partnerships and program development.
Melissa is the Co-Founder, Director and Producer of the Women in Leadership Conference, a growing community of women on social media and an annual event providing leadership insight and trends, talks from global leaders, high-level networking and conversations on issues important to women.
Melissa is Co-Founder and Owner of a privately-held company with centennial farmland and mineral assets in the STACK play in Kingfisher County, OK. and specializes in surface and minerals management, lease negotiations with E&P, ROW, renewables, and surface tenants, as well as revenue, legal and regulatory policy related to royalty and production.
Melissa has more than 20 years of experience in areas including communications, marketing, professional development, leadership, coaching, advancement, community relations and development.
Prior to joining Oklahoma City University, Melissa held various operational and creative positions working in multiple industries and for large organizations such as Halliburton’s Swaco Geolograph and M-I Drilling Fluids, Eateries, Inc., and LSB Industries.
Melissa participates in civic activities, the running community and is an OKCBiz 40 Under 40 Award Recipient. She is a member of the Project Management Institute, Association of Fundraising Professionals, is a CDR leadership coach and holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Central Oklahoma.
