Meet the 2026 speakers for the Women in Leadership Conference
Dr.
Karen Nern is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon, and entrepreneur
based in Colorado. She founded and grew a five-location dermatology
practice. She co-founded The Sun Bus, a charitable mobile skin cancer
screening initiative serving underserved communities across the Southwest.
Dr. Nern is also the Founder and CEO of ODD SPOT™ LLC. ODD SPOT™ is
the first peer-reviewed, visual and comprehensive skin cancer detection
mnemonic in 40 years. Published in the Journal of the American Academy of
Dermatology, ODD SPOT™ covers all three major skin cancers and is poised to
become the new global standard for skin cancer awareness.
She holds a BS in Finance, an MBA in International Business, and an MD, and
completed her dermatology residency at UCSD. She is a diplomate of the American
Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the AAD, and board certified in Micrographic
Surgery.
